Community Futures

With contacts made through STRAP with Colin Roxburgh, the TVRCN initiated contact with Community Futures Programme in Scotland in 2004 and encouraged adoption of Community Futures by Mayo County Council/County Development Board in 2005.  Since that time, four TVRCN communities have participated in Community Futures, and as a result, each community has a 3-year community action plan based on broad community participation.  They are Islandeady (2007), Partry (2008), Balla (2008), and Killawalla (2009).
