Interested in walking in Mayo? Come and enjoy the wild and mysterious Mayo landscape with scenery changes and spectacular views of Croagh Patrick along the way.

Festival Programme includes 3 great days of guided moderate to challenging walks, visiting heritage sites, and hearing the local myths and legends form our experienced guides, complimentary refreshments provided. Transport from meeting point and start point each morning. It offers great value of 15 euro per day or 45 for the weekend. For further information and registration

Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail -Highest quality of walks in the west of Ireland

Distance: 61km; highest point: 310 mtrs.

Total ascent is 1205 mtrs.

Where: Balla (N60) to Murrisk (Croagh Patrick).  The Trail is at the heart of rural West Mayo and includes outstanding heritage sites and many features of great natural beauty.  It crosses the foothills of Croagh Patrick but does not include the ascent to the summit.

The Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail was created by the Tóchar Valley Rural Community Network with the support of The Local Farmers, Mayo County Council, South West Mayo Development Company Ltd., Rural Social Scheme, Co. Mayo VEC, FÁS, Fáilte Ireland , Michigan State University, Gnó Mhaigh Eo, Mayo Abbey Resource Centre, Sports Council of Ireland, National Trails Office.
