Interested in walking in Mayo? Come and enjoy the wild and mysterious Mayo landscape with scenery changes and spectacular views of Croagh Patrick along the way. The Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail combines a wide variety of scenic experiences through lush farmland, forest paths and remote bog lands. It has a rich tapestry of ancient heritage sites, unique villages and beautiful landscape. It begins in the village of Balla in east Mayo just 8km from Claremorris town, and ends at the village of Murrisk at the foot of Croagh Patrick. It is a National Way Marked Way; it is graded moderate to hard and comprises of a mixed terrain of road, farmland, forest paths and bog roads, and is 61 kilometres long.

Mayo VEC, FÁS, Fáilte Ireland , Michigan State University, Gnó Mhaigh Eo, Mayo Abbey Resource Centre, Sports Council of Ireland, National Trails Office.
